I know, mind blowing isn’t it, since people don’t seem to know, you can type anything into their search box, put the word torrent in front of it and, boom goes the dynomite, pages of torrents for whatever you searched.

music-torrentz.com really disappointed me … plenty of high-quality files, but the selection totally blew … looked like something assembled/inhabited by people with no taste in music whatsoever … my latest solution involves doing a google image search for music (need that album artwork, yo) and seeing if any music blogs pop up in the results

The poster, Phen, stated the reason that Demonoid was/is brilliant. Most of the items he listed would be considered esoteric by most of the leeching world’s shallow standards, but that stuff is EXACTLY what separated Demonoid from the chaff that’s still out there.

Ah, those rare books. And the audio book library… lectures, … literally amazing.

I realize that the average geek can get the latest videogames, hollywood crap-fests, bad pop albums, and hacked Windows builds anywhere.

But here’s the stuff I got off Demonoid:

Classic and often obscure international films
Rare books in English by great authors few English-speaking people are familiar with – novels, poetry, nonfic, you name it
Classic and contemporary literary audio-books (Not just non-fic and bestsellers)
BBC Radio productions of great plays, short stories, and novels
Piles of college courses and lecture series on any subject imaginable.
Definitive recordings of music in baroque, classical, jazz, everything-that-isn’t-pop, etc.

Other sites and a few specialized trackers are peppered with these things, but Demonoid was the only dependable one-stop-shop that was guaranteed to surprise you with something great, even when it wasn’t what you were looking for. my guess is that this guy is in jail and that is why he is unavailable. who is unavailable for this kind of extended period of time without having something extremely major going on? it’s either:
A) a very long vacation
B) hospital
C) prison

I’m guessing prison, otherwise they’d be able to get all the answers and help from him they want. I dunno much about Ukranian jail, but I suspect that it is not as “nice” as the USA.

You might want to try Ebooksshares.org
The have some obscure knitting/crochet books, and other special interest books. Their books are indexed fairly well compared to other sites, but still nowhere as well as Demonoid, especially content wise. Ebooksshares is not very good in the fiction department.
Speaking of which, are there any other sites that have a lot of fiction ebooks, especially romances?
Really nothing so far compares to Demonoid. : (

I had 4 private trackers, as i found IPTorrents, now f**k others. just IPTorrents is enough for me.

I ain’t care if demonoid come back or not, F**k demonoid coz demonoid downloads was slow and full of virus and all @ssholes could upload, not verified and bad members.

Demonoid rocked for audiobooks, ebooks, comics, Mac stuff, and most of all the great categorization. It was the best place to BROWSE for torrents to see what was floating around out there.

Particularly for Mac stuff.. where the hell are the good Mac torrent sites? TBP is total balls with that.
