If got a 3D printer and I am making all kinds of useful stuff like a roller for my vacuum cleaner a battery cover for my old gameboy but I use Catia to draw them and than print em and I am willing to share them. I wont copy the newest Martel toy honestly it would be a wast of time and resources. I do not think that the same copy right laws apply to 3D printing like they do for movies music and books but Patents and those expire at some time so if Hollywood is freaking out that some one is using a 3D printer to “Pirate” there real life Merchandise crap they can stick it up there ass. 3D printing is the best thing that I ever had and it is awesome the possibility are endless.

Except I’d make them for myself. And I bet those “other” LEGO bricks weren’t just alternaive, but entirely different (albeit similar visually) on the “connector” level, so it won’t fit quite right with lego bricks and vice versa (just like you can’t fit USB stick into e.g. HDMI port). I’ll just 3d scan LEGO bricks and then make copies (3d scanner is easy to make, you just need to take apart few laser pointers, link to some servo mechanism and arduino and use some sensors that are available in any electronic shop. It can be done under $50 if you know where to look for parts)

Yeah too bad for them I always refill ink cartridges myself. These corporate criminals have been getting smart though, putting in non-resettable chips in cartridges and what not to prevent legitimate reuse.
