The makers of The Expendables 3 are continuing their crackdown on everything piracy related. Movie studio Lionsgate has now started to warn downloaders of the film, with alerts also going out to seedbox users.

Anti-Piracy Lawyer Wants Domain Registrars to Silence Critics

A lawyer who described piracy settlement demands as "extortion" changed his mind in 2011 and began suing BitTorrent users. In an attempt to erase the past he's just sent DMCA notices to the domain registrars of two anti-troll websites. Sadly for him, they remain online and history remains intact.

Music Group DMCA Notices Reveal Coffee Hatred

A German-based music group's month-long DMCA notice-sending spree has seen it trying to censor leading music stores and news outlets for no good reason. The outfit also took a bizarre dislike to the word "coffee" and issued takedowns against Walmart, Ikea, Fair Trade USA and Dunkin Donuts.

Police Freeze Mega Shares in Money Laundering Investigation

New Zealand authorities have placed 18.8% of the Kim Dotcom-founded cloud hosting service Mega under restraining order. The actions involve multi-millionaire William Yan, one of Mega's largest shareholders, who is alleged to be involved in money laundering. Mega itself is not suspected of wrong-doing.
