I personally find it hilarious that the music industry think they would make more money, simply by stopping internet pirating.

I would never pay a single cent for 90% of the music being played on a daily basis, and if I couldn’t DL it, then I wouldn’t have it.

All the best metal bands NEVER get radio play or serious promotion by recording labels. No way in hell I’m ever buying a CD again unless its directly from the band at a live show. At least then I know that the band is making the profit.

Yes but Reading That A recent artist in his 30′s As sold over 650,000 units in the first week in the UK alone…. I think Filesharers are still small pittence… the “middle man” whines because they no longer have TOTAL Profit margin…. How pathetic the middle men are….

Cut the record companies out of the financial loop.

Let the record companies charge for what it costs to produce a CD (under $5 CAN or US). If people like the music and musician they go to the musician’s website and make a donation.

1) The CRIA has no need to threaten, if they have legitimate case they simply close you down by law.

2) Very short announcement from someone who’s interested in all this enough to host Demonoid thus far.
I would expect more.. A protest? A thank you note to fans and goodbye? A “temporarily” added in to show he’s still looking into the matter?
Hell, I’d even settle for whining.

there a thought that I haven’t seen brought up and while I note I don’t know much at all about international law (though it seems international law appears to count for little these days ‘Extraordinary Renditions’ spring to mind) would it not be possible that another lobby group has applied pressure somewhere in which accumilated to said letter.. if letter exists fraudulant or otherwise, with the extended clause of do this and there’ll be no harm no foul but must maintain confidentiality on the deal!?

Reality spike – if you had half the passion to understand the information at these site (globalresearch.ca & radioliberty.com) you would actually do something about the events that transpire rather than sitting on your ass to wait for the next download.

It’s really no surprise that no one is aware of this stuff as much of the music you listen to -is- designed to erase your ability to use what’s known as critical thinking.

Hi I am am a computer tech. I have been using Demonoid for the past 2 years now and have supported it for 2 years. I disagree with the actions that you are taking with demonoid. If people decide to post a torrent up on the net for others to download, how is that stealing? Really if you think about it how did that torrent begin? It began with somebody going to a store wasting money on a music CD that had only one or two songs they liked on it because the artist sucks at puting great songs on his or her album for the consumers money. Now that sounds alot like the artist is stealing from the consumers pocket. I mean the consumer pays good money for a music cd to hear lots of great songs, not crap. So how does the consumer fix this problem? They start by ripping there cd’s and DVD’s and post them online as torrents so others wouldn’t have to waste there money on an artist crappy music (Makes Sence). So why take from the consumer and the p2p sites and companys like napster who are trying to help people save there money from a bunch of rip offs like your company portrays itself. Your company thoroughly disgusses me and I stand as 1 of the millions of people who dislike you and artist and anybody who bitches about this matter. So I thank you and Companys out there who think there fighting this matter but are really making an ass of there self’s.
