Azureus won the award for “most popular open-source software” This is the result of the first annual SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards. Azureus is one of the most active and most downloaded project on SourceForge. It seems that P2P software is popular, because Emule finished in second position.

There were different categories ranging from best “database software” to best “VOIP software”, Azureus was voted to be the best piece of software in the prestigious “overall” category.

Btqueue, another BitTorrent based piece of software won in the clustering category.

Azureus ofcourse rules the roost in case u wanna use torrent to dload bcoz its the best torrrent client evermade i knowppl u will say it eats resources but the new version which is 2400 has lot of bug fixses in ti first of all it is low on junk also i used utorrent 1.5 but the problem with this version seems like it brings more junk than the previous versions. But i differ in the case award given to emule because i know u get quality stuff on edonkey network but i tried dloading a 1.5 gb dvd from it and the sources were more than enough there were almost 156 sources but after giving good spd till i dloaded 100mb it just died bcoz i was continously waiting in the queue but no dload so i differ with it i think edonkey need a good client and also a powerful one like limewire or frostwire.

Iceman, you need to implement some of your bugfixes in the way you type…I seriously feel like a year was taken off my intelligence after reading that.
