That is certainly true except with regard to consequences they could face as officers of the court and with regard to possible findings of contempt (criminal and civil). There is of course an ability to contest any rulings or recommendations the judge makes on those matters, but being that they deal with gross disrespect for the court and potentially active interference in its ability to operate soundly in the case – any outlet for such an appeal will be extremely unsympathetic. Judges and boards tend overwhelmingly to defer to the decision of the court whom the attorney – who is reasonably expected to know better and has a duty as an officer of the court – so offended.
