Think of it this way, a DDOS was launched from a botnet from say a country A to some government website in country B. Lets say A and B are on thin ice as far as the relations go. The person running the botnet might not know that there are such computers on his network, or chooses to ignore the fact. What then? Wouldn’t the government of B deem this as an act of terrorism against its sovereignty and decide to seek revenge out in the real world? What then? Or if these acts were carried out under the guise of the netizens crying foul but was actually an attempt to access its network? There are huge implications to be considered when governments and lives are in the dock.

Although, many a times, protests and demonstrations might sometimes have some foreign partake, but usually these are controlled before they go out of hand. There is no stopping the demonstrations on the net, for the better or for the worse, for the tide cannot be stemmed.
