Anti-DRM T-Shirt Designs: Vote Now
Written by Ernesto on June 04, 2007We don’t like DRM, and we’re not the only one. Unfortunately, the majority of the movie companies and record labels still think it’s the best way to “protect” their music. Let us show them it’s not, it only hinders honest customers.
Here are the entries we received for the Anti-DRM T-Shirt Design Contest we organized together with Beautiful Crime. You can vote for your favorite design at the bottom of this page. The winners of the design contest will be announced this weekend.
After the voting round the winning designs will be optimized for printing and will be sold for approximately $15, more details on this later. If you can’t wait, feel free to copy these images, and print your own T-shirt!
We don’t plan to make any profit, but if we do we will donate the money to charity.

Why not do them all and let people order what they want? To limit it to just one would be DRM (criminal).
It’s not that difficult or expensive to do screens, so let the public choose their design.
Dang! There are several great ones, and many bad ones.
Why not allow people to vote on more than one to whittle them down?
10 just moves me. It’s just superb!
“You know, you have to pay the mafia for their protection or else they’ll ruin your business.”
Exactly, someone who understands cynism. That’s EXACTLY what I meant by it.
I don’t know about everyone else but #19 is the only T-shirt I would actually purchase. All of the others seem to be of poor quality or design. #38 looks good but lacks creativity in design in my opinion.
Most of those were actually pretty weak. Not to be an A-hole. I work at a design and printshop here in Alabama. If you need someone to print them hit me up!
This t-shirt has appeal to all and might provoke someone to ask the bearer a question.
@ TJ
I find it hilarious that you bash the designs then offer your services to print them….
dude, thats weak.
Nice idea!!
Let us know on digg when this will become available. I want to buy one.
And if you could make a design for the GPL v3 then I would be even happier!!
I assume we can just download the designs and print them on our own shirts. Everyone’s copacetic with that?
I’m not hurting anybody, as I wouldn’t have bought it anyway.
My vote goes for No. 6 Error.
i like them all , make a few thousand of each
44 isn’t good, it’s not sensitive to people with disabilities.
We want to destroy DRM, not piss people off!
can the shirt be shipped to Germany??

Sure! no problem
Where can I get one? I really want a t-shirt with design number six.
We need to have a winner first, we’ll let you know asap.
39 and 6.
I’d totally buy either.

Awesome.
#39 should have been “Think Outside the Locks” with a graphic of an open lock and the music flowing up the shirt.
