I still don’t understand how or why an attack from a small cell of people gives everyone such a “get out of jail free” card to racism. Even some of the nicest people I knew turned into full-blown racists after 9-11 occurred, and I had to drop my head in shame of them.

The few don’t always represent the many. If you want to hate an entire race, then don’t be shocked if they hate you in return; however, be surprised if they turn the other cheek and ask forgiveness for the actions taken by a select few, and actually mean it.
