The UK Anti piracy lobby BPI (British Phonographic Industry) bans the 12 year old Amy Thomas from the “school kids music chart because her record label refuses to sue music fans.
The Inquirer writes:
Amy had been chosen as one of ten young artists to feature on the My Music chart that launches in October across 1,400 UK schools. But her inclusion was blocked by the BPI after its snoops discovered she is signed to Flowerburger Records, an independent record label which is running an online petition drumming up opposition to the BPI’s policy of suing music fans who use p2p websites.
Amy and a group of sympathizing children protested against this outrageous decision yesterday by holding balloons with supporting messages in front of the BPI office in London.
The BPI sure does begin to look a lot like the RIAA, their US counterpart.

These people are seriously ill. What is wrong with their minds? Doesn’t the world have enough problems without them making life harder for people.
Come on guys, do a little soul-searching. Kindness costs nothing. You make life bitter and destroy trust. All these kids are going to grow up and guaranteed they’re not going to want to have anything to do with you and you minions. They will create their own world… and you will be standing in the pastures wondering what happened.
If this is what the musicians want, then they don’t deserve our attention.
There are a lot of hard-working bands out there that would love you to download their music. The rest are mean-spirited.
Maybe it’s time people stopped buying their music… and the rest of us can start over again… take a lesson from the Hippies kids, maybe it’s time for another social revolution. My generation has forgotten and money has become God.

First off, stupid fucking fucks. Now that that’s out of the way, are you really suprised the the british pornographic society of ass-licking teabaggers did this? Hell, everyone has to make a stand, and god knows that if they arent doing stupid shit, they wouldnt get any press. I’ll tell you this much though, they just helped that little girl out, cause the story garnerd her a shitload a free press, and now she’ll sell more albums for it, thanks to them. What did the BPI expect would happen? Amy bursts into tears in front of the CEO of her label and he decides to soothe her pain with lawsuits?
Seems more like someone with hard-on for a pretty little girl decided he didn’t like being told he couldn’t touch the goodies. Freakin’ pervs need to be taken out and shot wherever found.
The world is full of sick twisted idiots and no moreso than in the musick industry. Good on Amy and her label. Hope they succeed in business and sign up lots of artists.
