Guess why Macs don’t come with Blu-ray drives installed. ;-) The App Store DRM might be nasty, but it’s for developers, because most of them don’t want their apps to be reverse engineered, and the amount of open source apps for iOS is relatively small, so Apple doesn’t see a reason to remove the DRM code from free apps. After all, they’re free, and the DRM doesn’t really do anything on free apps anyway. I fail to see how is this a victory for freedom. Shouldn’t I be free to use a free app on any platform? Those hypocrytes are a shame for the open source community.

It’s just a computer. And I have had better experience with Mac OS than with Windows. And by better, I mean way, way better. No horrible installers (most apps go drag and drop, and no, you don’t HAVE to use ANY App Store), complicated control panel (ugh! Microsoft!), registry (a.k.a. the weak point of the system stability)… Sure, Mac OS does have some flaws and annoyances, but at least you don’t have to reinstall the OS every year.
