Demonoid had a lot of rare stuff (especially music) that was really hard to find elsewhere, and the users were a nice community of people, mostly. I miss it.

Usenet very rarely has what I want, I’ve used it off and on since 90′s.
And half the time it all gets mucked up and you have to start using a part repairer.Useless,just shows how old it is.

If the music industry would reproduce the un-remastered “silver discs” I would be first in line to buy them. The money from the cd’s that I buy go to the sellers on ebay or Amazon, not the artist. It’s hard to support the artists, when the music industry puts out the brick-walled remasters that sound like crap, make my head hurt and the dynamics are non-existant. Anything that I downloaded was LONG OUT OF PRINT. I will NEVER, EVER buy remastered cd’s. I will NEVER EVER download remastered cd’s. Sure, there might be copyright issues, but the cd’s haven’t been in production for over 20 years. I don’t see how that’s hurting the artists. Demonoid had a good run while it lasted. It’s time to move on. File sharing is just not worth the risk.

Not to mention, the fact that it is WRONG to fine people and waste time and money on a “crime” that literally hurts NO ONE and the people doing it are just average people who live fairly decent lives.
