A life-long resident of Liverpool, Ben has a wide variety of experiences, qualifications and knowledge. Educated at the Liverpool Blue Coat School, he was one of the most well known pupils in the school, excelling in IT related subjects. Afterwards, he attended Liverpool University, studying for a degree in Robotics.

He has an eclectic work history, ranging from working behind a counter in a small domestic appliance store near Bolton, working in the complaints department of a National power company, and even working a production line at a condiments company in Runcorn. No stranger to controversy either, having taken part in a TV report about a company he worked for, back in 1999.

He is not a stranger in media circles either, having taken part in various TV and movie productions filmed on both side of the Atlantic - both in front and behind the camera - and he has even been a VIP guest at a Royal European film premiere. More specifically, he has also worked for a Surrey based record company, working in IP rights enforcement.

Ben currently owns his own company, a robotics-oriented equipment manufacturer, and also puts on Remote-control events. His interests are robotics, RC cars, Science Fiction, Radio Astronomy and implementations of certain technologies, including BitTorrent. in 2004 he worked towards a standardised benchmarking and comparison of all available Windows BitTorrent clients for, as he claims 'a bit of fun', a project he currently has on hold.

His aims are to see fair and just IP laws introduced into all major producing countries.
