The tracker connects people that have the same file. If i make a torrent file of a movie, its going to have a specific hash check. The tracker cant be added to a torrent and make you recieve the wrong file or data. Its impossible. Your torrent client checks for file verifcation. Thats why the SCENE which puts the stuff on the net before this loser does, is they include a SFV to check all contents of the file. AXXO is a loser and if you worship him or download stuff with his name, you must like re-encoded/downgraded/re-rip of shit that was put out before he even got his hands on it.

When I download torrents publicly (now a rarity) the first thing I do is check the tracker list for urls that I don’t recognize. If it’s not something that immediately comes to mind I REMOVE it from the list, never do I add public trackers anyways.

If you’re worried about torrent poisoning and getting logged by the MPAA’s outsourced goons…

STOP USING PUBLIC TRACKERS.

The very fact that you’re using a public tracker leaves you vulnerable to getting swept up in a lawsuit or downloading an extra 5gb of bad data. Furthermore, public trackers will always be slow with or without poisoning simply because there’s no motivation, beside altruism, for users to seed after they’ve finished downloading (and the majority don’t).

Another reason to use private trackers is more access to high quality, multi-pass CCE encoded videos rather than axxos single-pass dvdfab-quality rips.

First Axxo can’t even encode a film to the rather modest scene standards, now he can’t grasp the concept behind the bit torrent protocol’s built in data verification. Furthermore, it’s pretty ridiculous to suggest that the MPAA is more likely to disrupt your transfers if you add another public tracker to a torrent that’s already on a public tracker.

Axxo is either an idiot or someone is using his reputation to diseminate idiotic misinformation.

Here’s a suggestion: Get on goem or ptp where you don’t need to worry about adding trackers to your torrents and where uploading axxo’s subpar releases are against the rules… Problem Solved.

Some two-bit uploader who happens to be able to rip a DVD to a 700mb file and strangely gets worshipped for it is one thing but for any site to take this ‘story’ and report it like it really is a ‘story’ is what’s puzzling me!
Anyone with half a brain cell can go and read a bit more about the bit torrent protocol. By about the second page or so, you too will realise this axxo character has not got a clue!
I find his remarks pretty funny considering that his fans will be defending what he says as they have no clue either!
It is already evident and happening on this page!

Is axxo an idiot? Torrent clients hash check the pieces they receive. So, yea…people can send you bad pieces and they will be dropped. The files WILL NOT be manipulated in the process, however.

For those who didn’t understand,
he is not saying that other trackers are bad, but adding new trackers other than the original ones when the torrent was created could mess up the download due to people who would want to fuck up a download. basicaly his advice is just download the torrent file and start it without any modifications. sometimes when the dl is slow adding new trackers could help, but it’s a potential risk of not getting the content at all.
