The BitTorrent Legend Returns: I Am aXXo

It now seems that he is back in business. A few hours ago aXXo uploaded his first movie in months. He chose “I Am Legend”.
Since November 11 2007, when the last official aXXo torrent was uploaded, it has been awfully quiet. Some people assumed that aXXo had got himself caught while others claimed he had an accident. After a while it became clear that he simply decided to take some time off.
An administrator on Darkside RG, the official home of aXXo explained at the time: “aXXo told us that he has decided to take a break, so you will not see new aXXo torrents anywhere for a while. Please show your support by keeping his torrents alive until he comes back, as always, he will post here first when he does.”
Now, after nearly four months of absence aXXo has returned, and uploaded his first .torrent on Darkside RG and other torrent sites. It’s the news that many BitTorrent users have been waiting for.
Marking his comeback with the movie “I Am Legend” could be seen as symbolic. Before aXXo decided to take a break, an estimated one million people downloaded his DVDrips every month. The search term aXXo was undoubtedly the most popular at many torrent sites. Although there are conflicting opinions in respect of the quality of his work, there can be no dispute that he was, and still is, very popular indeed.
While some see him in an almost religious light, others have been quick to take advantage of his popularity for nefarious purposes, or have used the aXXo brand to draw attention to their own releases, like KLAXXON did.
Even though some see him as a legend, aXXo certainly isn’t without his critics but whatever the position, his popularity is indisputable…..along with his modesty ;)

Pathetic. The only thing he does is uploading rips from the scene. But doesn’t just do that, that would be nice but no, he re-encodes them so that it’s harder to tell that he stole it!
The only thing this accomplishes worse quality, its like taking a CD and scratch it with a knife until you cant see what it was before and then claiming you made it and since most people are clueless sheep they believe it.
If you have to write about aXXo, do it right and educate about how he lowers the quality of the BitTorrent community instead because that’s what he does.

Stealing Scene Rips, really? I mean Really? Is someone really complaining that someone is stealing something that is already stolen? Don’t get me wrong, 2 wrongs don’t make a right, but still. Axxo provides a service, which is consistancy, all the rips I have ever gotten from him were consistantly good quality, maybe not the newest and greatest movies, but thats not why I download axxo!
I respect The Scene but I still think aXXo ~ God
a lot of people have data-limits and bandwith-limitations. so they download a 2 700mb axxo-reencoded movies instead a 1.4GB scene-released movie… if the resolution isn’t that good, what the h*ll, they’ve just seen 2 movies. and if they want the movie with good resolution they just buy the dvd/blu-ray…

don’t get me wrong, i ain’t a axxo-fanboy. but his releases are always playable on standalone divx-players,
-they have decent quality,
-very much seeders,
-one can find over the internet subs in almost every language for his movies
etc….

Exactly. It’s not about who does it, it’s about the fucking masses getting their fix. In the long run, no one really cares who releases their shit as long as they get quality. I don’t give a flying fuck if the movie I download was blatantly ripped from another ripper. You know why? IT WAS ALREADY FUCKING RIPPED FROM THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, you idiots. They are only stealing something that was already stolen.
if you hate axxo, you gotta hate sceners for release movie studio’s property too…why don’t we let the original creator release their own content then…
It has already been released…this is only a re-encode, and I am only stating the obvious like the rest of you. It is always good to have another option but it is the truth there will always be a release before his.

Honestly, who gives a rats ass about DVD rips? Anyone with the right programs and a video store near their home can make a fucking DVD rip. And while we’re on the top, fuck DVD rips. Give me the damn ISO so I can watch it how it was meant to be seen? I can go the the video store right down the street, get the latest DVD, use any combination of DVD Fab Platinum, DVD Dectrypter, and DVD Shrink, along with the latest version of Nero if need be, and I can make a full blown ISO to any size I want that anyone can play with all or limited features with either Daemon Tools of a DVD player after being burned with DVD Decrypter. And I’ll slap the name FlipWhipProd as my sig…
Give me a fucking break, unless you crack software, be humble and STFU.

I don’t like axxo. And I do release stuff. And I actually rip what I put out. I don’t steal it from the scene. The scene sucks anyways.
lol, Slysoft rules. Anyway I guess it is not about that, in some countries the movie does released until few months pass of its premiere.
