The BitTorrent Legend Returns: I Am aXXo

It now seems that he is back in business. A few hours ago aXXo uploaded his first movie in months. He chose “I Am Legend”.
Since November 11 2007, when the last official aXXo torrent was uploaded, it has been awfully quiet. Some people assumed that aXXo had got himself caught while others claimed he had an accident. After a while it became clear that he simply decided to take some time off.
An administrator on Darkside RG, the official home of aXXo explained at the time: “aXXo told us that he has decided to take a break, so you will not see new aXXo torrents anywhere for a while. Please show your support by keeping his torrents alive until he comes back, as always, he will post here first when he does.”
Now, after nearly four months of absence aXXo has returned, and uploaded his first .torrent on Darkside RG and other torrent sites. It’s the news that many BitTorrent users have been waiting for.
Marking his comeback with the movie “I Am Legend” could be seen as symbolic. Before aXXo decided to take a break, an estimated one million people downloaded his DVDrips every month. The search term aXXo was undoubtedly the most popular at many torrent sites. Although there are conflicting opinions in respect of the quality of his work, there can be no dispute that he was, and still is, very popular indeed.
While some see him in an almost religious light, others have been quick to take advantage of his popularity for nefarious purposes, or have used the aXXo brand to draw attention to their own releases, like KLAXXON did.
Even though some see him as a legend, aXXo certainly isn’t without his critics but whatever the position, his popularity is indisputable…..along with his modesty ;)

Haha shouldnt you be hating the scene aswell, since “Their hard work” of “stealing” a movie is exactly what axxo is doing.
You say he is taking someone elses work and making it his own, well thats what the scene does in the first place.

I think aXXo is a group of Blackwomen, because any movie starring Black actors is ALWAYS covered by aXXo, as are lots of the types of movies especially liked by females, such as horror and murder mysteries.

The quality of the aXXo rips are superb compared to other rips in the same size so I for one says that aXXo is a god pirate. If one pirate steals from another pirate and recode so that the end result is better, what is the problem?

aXXo re-encodes that argument was over a long time ago, people still like aXXo because they can trust his accounts. I dislike aXXo because of the credits, and love scene. Oh yeah, “Fuck the MAFIAA”.

What he does is most 2cd rips he re-enocodes them and takes credit for the scene groups work and does a 2cd movie to 1 cd and you think you can squeeze a movie over 120min on a single cd and maintain quality ?

Axxo is a valuable commodity to the scene, weather you like/need his releases or not.
In the worst case he takes off some heat from the other releases and groups.

Are you joking? That’s insane, movies at 350mb xvid? 700mb xvid doesn’t look very good, but most of the time it is watchable. I don’t often download them, but I can understand why others do, kind of. However, neither 700mb xvid nor 350mb xvid are even near to perfect quality. Even over a GB xvid isn’t perfect quality, though it can be pretty good.

for everyone that complains about axxo look at his “i am legend” 701MB perfect, where klaxxon has it up at 910. I will take 1 cd rips over klaxxon’s rips anyday.
