aXXo Temporarily Stops Releasing DVDrips
Written by Ernesto on November 28, 2007The popular DVD ripper aXXo is a BitTorrent cult figure, despised by some, worshiped by others. An estimated one million people download aXXo’s rips every month and his name is among the most searched keywords on all BitTorrent sites. Not surprisingly, rumors start to spread when there is no official aXXo release for a while.
The last official aXXo torrent was uploaded November 11, after that is has been awfully quiet. So what happened, did he get caught, is he tired of releasing DVDrips, did he have an accident? It turns out that aXXo is not gone for good, he just decided to take a break.
ADL 242, an administrator on Darkside RG, the official home of aXXo explains: “aXXo told us that he has decided to take a break, so you will not see new aXXo torrents anywhere for a while. Please show your support by keeping his torrents alive until he comes back, as always, he will post here first when he does.”
This is not the first time that aXXo has taken some time off. Last year aXXo temporarily stopped uploading movies because a website named axxotorrents.com was trying to profit from his name. A few weeks after that the site went down and aXXo continued releasing DVDrips.
Earlier this month aXXo caused a stir when he deleted all his torrents from The Pirate Bay website. Apparently aXXo wasn’t very happy with the way The Pirate Bay handled his complaints, and decided to not release his torrents there anymore.
Unfortunately, aXXo’s popularity has downsides too. We’ve seen that anti-piracy organizations use his name to trap people into downloading fake files, and malware peddlers use the aXXo brand to spread their infested software.
At this point is is not clear how long aXXo will be inactive, his fans can only pray, and hope the he will return soon.

why download 700mb movies? so you can save space of course :D what would you rather have 20 of the most recent DVD’s at the best quality when you put them on you’re 600 inch tv or 100 of the most recent movies which you can watch on your home tv if you dont like what aXXo does why comment about it its a waste of your time you retards you could be spending that time saving up for a tv big enough to play your overly huge movie or maybe downloading the aXXo rips you love yes we know it your all just jealous you cant make such rips
Axxo is the man. His rips are great as far as I’m concerned. If you want somethin better go and buy the fuckin movie. Ive downloaded alot of his rips and will continue to as long as he’s around. Big props for Axxo. See ya on tha flip side!

As far as I’m concerned aXXo’s rips are great, good quaility and quick dls, compared to a lot of the other crap out ther and half of it is aXXo rip offs or fakes, keep up the good work, I’m with you all the way

aXXo movies apparently have enough quality, consistency and last but not least trustworthiness for most people on this planet.
Scene people(?) who moans about aXXo re encodes etc(if that what it indeed is, who knows?) you are hilarious. It is not like you made the movies yourself in the first place. If you want your precious “respect”, try to release 700mb yourself in addition to your 4.5 GB releases in a somewhat consistent manner.
I have come to understand that a lot of these so called “Scene groups” only want to selfishly share their rips among them selves so maybe it hurts when aXXo releases a quality product for the masses. And p2p probably isn’t considered “cool” enough for them, but what would I know.
Or, maybe some of them have failed to notice that a lot of people on this planet actually wants the 700 mb movies?

I thank aXXo. His uploads are 99.99% 700mb, always secure, fast and easy and great quality.
My wife and I go to the movies about once a month, for the movie night out experience…(rarely anything worth seeing now a days) But I was suprised how many videos we actually have gone out and purchased because we’ve found some gem worth adding to our library thanks to aXXo. Further… we recommend (or not) many movies to our friends, who in return go out and rent them at their local video store.
I personaly thank aXXo for helping us movie lovers filter through the status qou of homogenized crap studios are putting out.

aXXo is and will always be a legend, he’s given us so much and asked for nothing in return and yet all you ballbags insult and talk down to him, why dont you try spending as much time as aXXo does putting other people first. His films are always of top quality aswell as his service, I pray that he comes back, for aslong as aXXo is uploading movies, I’m downloading movies. Btw, this is just an interesting footnote, but I read somewhere that MPAA is using people to throw abuse around Forums related to aXXo’s movies, so dont buy into any of the shit that people post here slatting aXXo’s work.

newartriot creates better rips in a superior format. H.264 MP4’s. he also gets them up a lot faster. was probably the first person to upload die hard 4.
