Dude I’m sick of idiots blaming bitcomet for everything wrong with torrents.
BITCOMET FREAKING SUCKS. But NOT BECAUSE ITS A LEECHER CLIENT, cause it’s NOT!!
BITCOMET IS A SEEDER CLIENT!!
Anyone who has any idea how torrents and the internet in general works, and has bitcomet, would never call it a leecher client. Bitcomet is a poorly made, quick to upload, slow to download, piece of crap.
All my torrents are consistently at a 17 :1 share ratio or more because bitcomet doesn’t know how to handle peers. At the start of a torrent it will connect to peers, peak out, then proceed to DISCONNECT FROM ALL PEERS WITH ANY DL SPEEED FOR NO REASON, THEN GIVE ALL THE UPLOAD BANDWIDTH U ALLOW AWAY!!! and EVERY time it goes up again for a second, it will disconnect from the specific peer giving u any DL SPEED!!!
It’s consistently like this with every torrent, it has nothing to do with seed/peer ratio’s.
Azureus on the other hand, connects to peers and maintains the connection, then gets more, like it has common sense.
Watching bitcomet connect and disconnect from peers is like watching an autistic kid with ADD attempt to do a puzzle.
Don’t get Bitcomet. NOT because you care about torrent health, but beCAUSE u eventually want to finish your downloads and enjoy them.
My current torrent is at 15.7 gig uploaded,
3.5 gig downloaded. The only reason I’m using bitcomet is because it supports proxy servers.
for the love of god, don’t download it.
and Chris from help.com, either u, or the person who asked u that question, is an idiot.
that’s not even an answerable question because it makes no sense.
if bitcomet was a person I’d beat his head in. seriously.
Check this out if you want to leech -> BitComet 0.71 Beta Leecher Pack
was just downloading a torrent…”miami vice” had loads of seeders was going quite quick 130kb/s then at 98.9% randomly decided to stop and all the seeders dissapeared and im left with people just uploading my 98.9% off me now for the past day! what has happened anyone know?
Dude. I have read your post of detest. If you hate it so much and clear our vision, could you atleast tell the software you recommend for seed and/or leech?
Oh yeah by the way Dude… Always when im downloading something at for example 100kbt down it seemse to seed double of what im downloading to a huge number of people, in my personal opinion i dont find this a leech software at all if i gather the info together what you wrote about. Just now in this second im seeding 616kb/s
to 62 peers. Although i get annoyed sometimes that my seed exceeds my leeching… So by that i can’t agree with your opinion and i appologize for me being rude. And i am still intrested in your personal recommends of different downloading softwares. I applogize once again for being rude.
Ahem. Yeah, bitcomet sucks. It does nothing better than uTorrent or Azureus, but it’s generations behind of azureus in terms of features and general completion as a client. Now the fact about bitcomet connecting faster than other clients, is the fact that it cheats. It cuts in lines. And it does it a lot. When a normal client sends a request for a piece it gets put in a queue, not quite sure what the principal behind the queue placing is (i think it’s first come first served), but still they have to wait till the seed has a connection to spare for us. Meanwhile, bitcomet makes some sort of bogus information in its request for connection and gets boosted up the queue, hence connecting faster.
Bitcomet is a good client for niggers. So if you’re a nigger you should definitely use Bitcomet.
