There’s definitely something very fishy about the BitSoup Admin (radium).

The site is down again – don’t know if it’s been hacked or not – and this is immediately after they’ve concluded their PC-VIP promotions, where you pay thru the nose to be excluded from ratio. From memory it was $200 for a year of PC-VIP.

Naturally a lot of members went in for this & now it appears as if the site still has the same encoding issues despite continually crying out for donations to upgrade the hardware – which they claim to have done recently. Still looks and acts the same to my eyes and I’ve been involved in a few migrations so I think I can tell the difference.

Another thing they did was introduce a default HTTP server for new content which is turned on by default in the member’s profiles. This makes it near impossible to share without a seedbox thus forcing you to donate to keep your ratio healthy.

As an eg. with my 230kbps Upload Speed I used to be able to share any new content back to 1.2 within 24 hours of getting a new release. Now if I jump on a new release within minutes I still won’t reach more than 0.200 after 48 hours.

Now HTTP servers are great IF you don’t have a lot of members or a % of them with seedboxes which is what bitsoup had/has. Speeds were never an issue.

Everything the Admin has been doing lately seems like nothing more than a $-grab. The way they constantly harass members for donations, regardless of whether you’ve donated in the past, is an insult.

I have no idea where the $s for the Sandy Relief went so I can’t comment on that, but this isn’t the 1st time Bitsoup or SuperTorrents have been accused of not sending donations where they were pledged to go.

I donated $40 via Bitsoup to the Sandy appeal and it was claimed that there would be updates & photos about the trip & expenditure. None ever surfaced. I have no idea what my $s were used for.

Make your own conclusions about that, but to me they wouldn’t be hiding anything IF they had nothing to hide. Bitsoup, like SuperTorrents, has had it’s share of defecting staff over the years who have claimed that the sites were ripping off it’s members. I used to think this was just sour-grapes but now I’m beginning to think they may have been telling the truth.

With most of the public trackers closing, private ssl trackers & newsgroups is the way to go, even if you do have to pay $10 or so, soon it will be hard to get what you want with the government cracking down.

I was once a member on Torrentzilla,never liked it,moved on to Bitsoup,been there ever since, and i have always donated even when DH was there, bitsoup is the best,shame on anyone who says different or even attempt to claim false statements out on it

Who cares how much a site makes, check the promo’s on Bitsoup,Those promo’s are great,you do not see those promo’s on many trackers, For a small price you recieve a huge upload amount,seems a fair enough deal to me,go screw yourself DH, perhaps try being a sysop instead of a piece of work,i think jealousy is most certainly a huge problem with DH now she isn’t getting a share in bitsoup’s profits.Perhaps now she can not live eating so much rich food , PMSL

DragonHeart must be so jealous to what Bitsoup rakes in, Is your jealousy productive or unproductive DragonHeart ? ,torrentzilla is a ugly site you have, try something productive by making that ugly site look like a site instead of ruuning that mouth and posting here with different names to try to make bitsoup have a crap reputation,
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and Only evil works for DragonHeart.

You have very low self-esteem; You have deep issues,

DragonHeart or X from torrentzilla you have issues, you are the root cause of evi. Long live Bitsoup, glad to now see it survives better without evil.
