Many people over the years have claimed they wanted to ‘change the system from the inside out’.
Very few ever succeeded, many simply turned to the ‘dark side’.
Now i am not a religious person, but the saying ‘The road to Hell is paved with good intentions’ seems rather fitting here.

Well, I might have not read those articles indeed. It’s been also a while I take everything I read on the internet with a grain of salt, especially big declarations from commercial companies. (I use to say there’s what you say, what you do and what you think, might all be different.)

But aside from that I remember Bittorrent as the author of campaigns to defend file sharing against the excessive criminalizing from majors. What I find astounding is how easy one would believe bittorrent is now willing to bite the same pie as record labels and associates rather than anything else. Okay, it’s more than probable given the declarations. But if you wanted to infiltrate an organization you despise, would you act differently? What face would you show?

…Have you even read the article or any of Bittorrent Inc.’s recent statements about where they want to take this new business idea ?
Hell, have you read the title of this story ?
Bittorrent Inc. has openly stated several times it’s intention of becoming a legal music service, RIAA approved and all.
If you need more proof than that, then i suggest you head on over to their blog and do some reading.

That Bittorrent Inc. is trying to get a slice of that big media pie, and trying to get in bed with the RIAA is something i predicted a while back, and i find it just as laughable now as back then, because they are trying to do the same thing these media dinosaurs do.

That’s a serious claim indeed. Call me naive but do you have facts to prop it up or is this a well educated guess?

The current business model surrounding music and film is dying out, slowly but surely.
And considering the amount of utter dreck out there i can’t say i’ll be very mournfull about this.
Things like Kickstarter and other, more direct ways of crowdfunding are taking hold.
The evolution of the consumer landscape will continue, and corporations, big and small, can either evolve or go the way of the dodo.

That Bittorrent Inc. is trying to get a slice of that big media pie, and trying to get in bed with the RIAA is something i predicted a while back, and i find it just as laughable now as back then, because they are trying to do the same thing these media dinosaurs do.
And like i said, they evolve or die.
Trying to reinvent the existing business model while keeping a lot of it’s flaws will not be the grand next step in this evolution.

My point is and WAS that the company is trying to do the same thing existing middlemen already do, much like i claimed months before.
I NEVER EVEN MENTIONED THE PROTOCOL.

The article is about Bittorrent Inc. now becoming a music service, as is my reply. how hard could it be to put two and two together to get to four ?

Hell, where did i mention the word Bittorrent (as in the protocol) AT ALL in my previous post ?
