lol, do you really think the US-EU government strong-arming of anyone legally allowed to handle EU data is about “data protection”?
you must be joking.
the government takes everyone alowed to handle sensitive data, puts them in one pool, regulates then, shows them that they can reanch out and touch them if they step out of line across the pond in the USA with the full support of the American court system.

One of those “civilization will end if it changes” remark. I don’t think file sharing matches two world wars, little boy and big boy being dropped on Japan, genocide and famine, and countless other stupidities. Might do some good all this sharing and since people are resilient enough to withstand the aforementioned atrocities I’m sure they are resilient enough to share freely.
