WE LOVE YOU BIT TORRENT!!!!

PLEASE REMOVE THOSE AUTO CHECKS UPON INSTALL!!!

Azureus is another gem, Vuze now or something. Love Bit Torrent's "lean and mean" approach, least for their initial small exe, before their "junkware auto installs" we now gotta watch for.

Like mines in the open seas!!!

You just turned a long time reader off torrent freak all together. You just claim what theyre bringing up is going to have an opposite affect and then go on to cry about nothing relevant. The post in question was talking about how labelling the record as a bit torrent record is stupid as it is notit is a p2p swarm record for a tv show really has nothng to do with the tech. Just cause you somehow feel like these records are something you can put your name on doesnt give you the right to go start a shit throwing competition. What a stupid pointless thing to report on.

There's no use for bittorrent outside piracy: plain & simple truth (and that will never change until we ALL have fast symetrical Internet).
For the rest, there are better and faster ways that don't imply "maintaining a ratio" or such bullshit.

Bit Torrent, like almost everyone else in the game, makes their money on the backs of piracy. The Bit Torrent protocol only really works when you have a large number of nodes making a large number of files available. Most people only have Bit Torrent active on their machines because they are pirating, they wouldn't leave it sitting open just to support their unix distributions and Wow updates.

Without critical mass, bit torrent use would pretty much peter out, as it would be unreliable and unsupported for the most part.

So like it or not, they exist (and are as powerful as they are) because of piracy.
