So basically you came around to waste some ones time out of curiosity? That doesn’t seem to terribly fair to the interviewers. These people do not get paid. They do it to better the community many people do, but this is the way they chose to do it.

If you’re complaining that it’s elitist because of the IRC interview, then you don’t belong here. StC is for people who want to share content with the community. If you are just somebody who hops on TPB, downloads something, seeds for a bit, then deletes the torrent, you don’t belong there. However, if you are the person uploading torrents to TPB, seeding them forever, etc, then you will find a lot of people like you at StC.

1/ Platform doesn’t matter. I use Mac because it’s NOT Windows. Security thru obscurity is layer one, running a *nix platform is layer 2, customization is layer 3… etc

That’s quite different that the beloved Brokenstones,, which was more about the members than about hard-core torrenting. While there is nothing wrong with that, it appears less about a community of people sharing themselves, and more about strictly sharing apps, videos, etc. For some, that’s better. But not my cup of tea.
