Really, I don’t think tath is some kind of PR. I live in Russia and in this country Lostfilm.tv is very famous site, they don’t need any PR action. And this history “purposely did not invent” (in russian this phrase looks @??????? ?? ??????????@, I don’t think English analog :-), ??? ??? ?????? ????? ?????????? – ??????????, ????).

But in all story have many inconsistencies. For example, how they can lure Kravec (this is admin of Lostfilm) in Ukraine? Or why they let them go? Or why police don’t trace transaction? We need more info :-)

Some doubt this report is real, and that’s okay. Believe what you want.

I’ll just say from what I’ve heard, that the Russian organized mob are pretty damn brutal, as well as sneaky and conniving. Many of them supposed to be ex-KGB. And they’re getting good at cybercrime; a lot of password and pin number stealing viruses are their work.

I think that it’s real, it’s the work of the Russian mob, or a cell of such, and they might be in collusion with that other brutal, sneaky and conniving organized crime gang we all love to loathe: The MAFIAA Mob.

Yeah… I don’t know if this is true, but if it is, it wouldn’t be unusual for Russia & Ukraine.

People have this impression for some reason that the lawlessness of the 1990s is over in Russia. It is most definitely not, especially as you get a little further from the centres of power.

And in Ukraine, the 1990s era never ended in the first place – the country has been politically paralyzed since then.

I remember a story from a year or two back in which the Russian mafia was having a shootout with a local TV news station, who had barricaded themselves inside their building, which the police stood by and didn’t interfere.
