I can't believe that many people are using those crap programs. I just want to scream "Get a good client" at them. But they will never stop file sharing, especially with Tixati's decentralized chat. Once something (a website, a magnet link etc..)is shared it stays shared.

Yep if they had just left this alone from the start accepted it as nothing more than a bit of collateral damage knowing people were sharing not selling it would not have got to this point. Sharing goes on ALL THE TIME even with solid media. Always has done always will do. It can never be stopped but it CAN be managed.

IF they had concentrated their efforts on an awesome cheap distribution system from day one of the internet by being more flexible online chilling on copyright this would never have happened. You cannot protect media they need to give up on all their DRM stuff.

Have you ever listened to the old guys at the MPAA and RIAA they are insane, truly insane living in the 1960's, go and read interviews with them, the sooner they are pensioned off and DIE the sooner this will be fixed. They have become part of the problem!

I have no idea why MPAA and RIAA et al are not seen as failures when these stats come out! Funding should be withdrawn forthwith from them. Rewarding them for being failures is just crazy!

If the corporations stopped the greed and built businesses "to last over making a few executives very wealthy in a short space of time" and worked on sensible engagement with the public this would all go away.

Capitalism is going to go like communism if it is not pulled in and checked. How does that help even rich people as their wealth means nothing if people are rioting and and not working to supply their life style. How can rich people and corporations be that stupid to encourage and hold up this broken world model to a point they destroy themselves!
