Anybody that pays heed to stichting BREIN is an idiot, if you feel really seriously worried about their threats simply do a little investigation in BREIN’s finances, and then soon they’ll be hosting ads for your torrent site if you just leave them alone and don’t talk to the public and tax investigators.
I’m not kidding either, they are through and through corrupt and that has been shown by dutch journalist when they did even minor research and reports on them.
Sooner or later it’s their stench that can’t be masked anymore and they’ll be closed down, and then their manager gets a lucrative job as head of some big bank or province, that’s how dutch corruption works.

Seriously, I don’t believe that number at all. Or, if it’s true, the vast majority were extremely minor sites or subdomains or something ridiculous like that–or a site that went down temporarily and came back up or whatever. Certainly they didn’t shut down 400 fully functioning, widely-known Bittorrent sites, and certainly they didn’t do anything to stem the tide of the evil, evil curse of piracy.

You can buy complete basic torrent sites per dozen in the Netherlands, I have a feeling those numbers are related to just 5 or 6 people registering loads of those basic sites and BRAINless taking those persons down (and all their sites with them). This way you can easily take down a multitude of sites (that no one ever visited).

I’m a member of ~20 trackers and use about ~25 trackers (publics counted), I have not noticed shit.

Except for TPB and mininova, but it’s not that I’m using them.

Guys, isn’t it obvious what’s going on here? Brein is just a trained attackdog of the music industry. Like all other hired goons, they need to show their dark masters at Sony, EMI etc that they are effective.
