This morning many BTjunkie users noticed that their favorite BitTorrent site is unresponsive.

Although it’s not clear what’s causing the current downtime, it is unrelated to the recent developments in Italy.

Last week an Italian court ordered all ISPs to block subscriber access to BTjunkie, leaving hundreds of thousands of Italians with the task of finding a new torrent site.

btjunkie down TorrentFreak has reached out to BTjunkie’s owner to find out more about today’s issues, and we’ll update this post as soon as we get a reply.

Till then, it’s safe to assume that it’s just a technical glitch that will be solved in the coming hours.

Update 6pm GMT: BTjunkie’s owner told us that there were network issues, the site should be back for nearly everyone now.

But the only thing I had against it was the uncontrolled amount of spammers on there.

That and the fact that it’s a public site which I strongly suggest you enforce Encryption in your clients if you are going to seed there.

Yesh i do agree btjunkie is better, but not lately!!! You have these assholes on there voting virus filled “fake” torrents as if they were real and not fake!!! what rarbg does is takes all the crap and singles out the best of the real ones.
