OH and we pay a levy that th CRIA has grabbed almost 500 million , hasnt paid its own artists since 1980, and is thus commercially committing willful infringement( which can right now gt them a fine of 20000$ per each infringement and jail time) and is now getting sued for 6 billion by 300000 artists that are form both canada and the usa

A) anyhting with DRM on it will be illagal and subject you to a fine of 20000$
B) non commercial downloading becomes illegal and subjected to a fine up to 5000$
C) you cannot record anything for the purpose of making a library
( thanks you made my 65 year old dads vhs collection into a crime venture)
D) with TPM section it makes it possible that they could put digital locks ON everything even stuff in public domain thus creating a forever copyright in canada.

Canada refused to allow the suits of two US orgs to go after people in Canada who had illegaly downloaded movies and music. Privacy rights they claimed. so this is another lame attempt to do something different. Even RIM who patented the blackberry had to sue in US court. I have been in the Canuk courts. No right to speedy anthing and the suck. All major patent suits from Canada are often filed in US federal court not Canada. No teeth to the laws.
