Hah, shit well I’m just discovering this, i probably had only like only like a dollar on there if anything. It’s unfortunate, that people lost money they had on there accounts. But I can’t imagine losing too much, I figure anyone who put more than $20 at a time on their account was just foolish.

Since 2005 I downloaded over 3000 tracks, approx 40GBs, using Legal Sounds at a cost of a few hundred dollars. I lost approx $30 due to the recent closure. Thanks for the memories Legal Sounds, thanks for rocking my world for the past 8 years!

I lost money on legalsounds but the music that i DID purchase over the years saved me alot in the long run. Plus i KNEW that it would be shut down one day so i’m not mad. I salute Legalsounds!!

The Russian site I look at occasionally (haven’t given them $) is quite good for European subcultural music (gothic/industria/electronica etc) which you can’t generally find at other places.
It used to let you pick your file format, which all stores should let you do, but I think it dropped that feature.

1) It was never illegal. Nobody can prosecute us for buying something when it was legal at the time.

2) I will miss legalsounds. I had over $100 left as a balance, but I knew that this day might come. Even amortizing the unused balance over the many, many MP3s I purchased, I ended up with an excellent value for my money.
