“* Allow users to retain their stats from other sites if they so choose.” was one of the first things on the Cheggit page and remained there until the site went live.

In the meantime, they were actively discussing what to do about it (this can be found on the forum in the testing section).

i think what we’re going to do is reserve it for promoted individuals from emp. that will cut the numbers way the hell down i think.

Yeah.. And hell it will be to start adding numbers manually for all new users registering and claiming a transfer…

If it should be done, just limit to peddlers and a few hand picked good pervs that really stand out from the crowd making brilliant posts.

So they essentially kept that blurbage up and baited users by dangling a carrot to give users false hope about their stats and used that user support to accelerate the hype surrounding Cheggit while in the back, the staff knew it was going to be a daunting task to do.

While this article mentions the site launch being a success, it would’ve been much worse if that simple blurbage about stats transfer “from other sites” was never on the Cheggit page. The curiosity that generated likely drew in users to take a look from the smaller communities. But when you compare the current user count, it is relatively small compared to the main Empornium user base it broke off from and illustrates as others had been saying that most folks did not give a damn about the whole drama and only cared about getting their porn.

I’m curious to see how the Cheggit staff is going to deal with this; preferential “old boy network” style treatment or fairness to the entire community which they were on a high horse when they left Empornium. I personally don’t care about having my stats or reputation transferred since to me, those things ought to be re-earned at a new community else all you have is the same circlejerk.

I’m wondering how the hell is one supposed to register to Cheggit…
The site says that users are capped to 40K for the beta-period, but the user count kept growing nonetheless and it is now at 1766 over the saied cap…and still growing.
It’s been a month now…I want in! :P

Yeah, I hope they optimize the site soon. I fled from Emp and stayed at Adultsins.net for a while and I think its about time they raise the cap to 50 000 at least so other people can get in.

Anyways, I hope its a great site.

Cheggit rules.
Been in since near the beggining.
Posts, forums and content are all far superioir to Puretna and emp.
Lot of lag on page uploads at present. i guess this is why theve capped it so soon.

cheggit use to be the holy grail of porn. but something happend and it went bad and before you know it no one was seeding. so they opend it to get more seeders.
