Dem copyright trolls get to trolling. I am glad I left Comcast for another ISP and that I can use a VPN when I need that protection. Always run PeerBlock on top of that too.

I liked the new Conan movie. Fuck you to those who did not dig the classic Swords and Wizards action. Did not torrent it, just file lockered it.

I am never worried about my ISP and the IP matter:
Fifth amendment says I don't have to admit that any IP address listed is mine. So if the IP address in question is alleged to be mine, said from my ISP, and was used in torrenting a movie: Who cares? I would challenge the ISP to simply submit to a forensic accounting exam of all billable internet services in the past 24 months, past and current customers, and the IP addresses (static or not) associated to each paid account. I maintain they made a huge mistake. Not even in the IT area, in the book keeping realm the files were confused.

Who does their IT? Who does their books? Who does their customer care and tech support? In house? Out sourced? Out sourced over seas?

That is a shit load of paperwork for them, a look at the guts of their operation spilled and many liability issues opened up for them if they comply.

All records would have to be made part of the court record and be public FOREVER. This would ensure extra oversight and accuracy. If they called my bluff, it would only cost me not even $4k USD to pull the trigger on that and get someone to audit the documents. I would never get the complete set of documents (to be sure) so that would be case dismissed there. I could then counter sue, once any appearance of a mistake could be found and there WOULD be one in their stack of paperwork for sure, and get my expenses back plus punitive damages for their wrongly coming after me.

My being named in any suit would be removed at that point, by my ISP backing out or from the troll realizing this is not going to be a one way attack.

When lawyers for big movie cocksucker comes at you will bullshit, fling bullshit back into their faces. Only the easy targets get pressed. If you fight back, or know how to fight back, you will be let alone. This is in addition to the precautions you can take to be sure you never get caught in the first place.

Be smart! Never afraid.

It's a matter of taste indeed, but I dislike how you correlate box office returns to enjoyment. You have to have seen it before you can rate it.

To me personally it just proves how badly we have lowered our standards. I've seen porns with stronger plots tbh. Even bloody "Fight Club" has become a cult movie and to me it is just slightly better than mediocre.
I started downloading movies after I wasted money on being annoyed by the predictability and piles of clichés in the way over hyped "American History X". Nowadays I usually can't even be arsed to download movies unless the gf wants to watch some chick-flick.

You are right though, unfortunately my taste differs strongly from the mainstream. Even when looking for porn I have to go to those "perverted" niche sites that allow fur and aren't all about ATMs, DPs and DTs. How perverted am I?

Jusqu'ici tout va bien.
