I’m already running my own torrent site. I’m looking to scrape results from other torrent sites and return them as “external results” below my sites results. Will this do the trick?
For example, if someone searches “green eggs” on my site, but my tracker doesn’t have a result…how can I return results from other sites? Anyone know of a plug-in or something?

At least it is not nowtorrents anymore, we banned the fucker.

Although he does use our AJAX, JAVASCRIPT, HTML, IMAGES AND CSS files!

Heh, a torrent site (that facilitates “stealing” certain peoples work) complains when someone “steals” their own work is.. slightly ironic..

That aside, the released source-code is basically just an interface to http://youtorrent3.com/get.php

If that site goes down, or changes, it’ll stop working.

There is pretty much *no* code that could have been “stolen” from Newtorrents.. Well, maybe the Javascript?

Actually with XSS u wont be able to do anything , because there are is no “user” harmfull information on this site. For fixing the xss ( which i specificly said its left on purpose ) replace all with in search.php

I’d rather get some more torrent sites rather than 1million that search all the trackers. Its pointless to have more things searching the trackers than there are trackers.

If I am understanding what Mark is saying, the basic idea is admin abilities to edit the site list would be great and I do agree. Most of the sites I see listed are just public dumpsites, so they will have the same listings as the other dumpsites. What you need are more big tracker sites like The Pirate Bay, SumoTorrent & FileSoup if it is back up after the raid.

This is great I will definitely having a look at it.

Open source is the way to go.

I have open sourced http://www.dargens.com , an anonymous bit torrent alternative. It shares files via torrents but uses a different protocol to BT.

You can share with anyone on the network but only you friends private or public know that you are connected.

All p2p communication is encrpted and connections are made via SSL on 443 so can’t be shaped by ISP.

Users can get help via irc on the website.

I was only able to develop this cos of the availability of opensource code. I’ve used Ruby or Rails which is open source and even the irc is as well.

Maybe I can add BT indexes to the site as well.

It has only just launched but is doing well partly cos it’s open source and partly cos it is sharing loads of adult videos etc.

So thank you Youtorrent3.

living in the real world we only need MySQL compatibility for the backend

my first request of the backend is an admin function to add sites, the current selection is odd and includes too many search engines. i would want to add the big trackers

Woot! Talk about sharing!
Other than questions and complaints nobody has said what needs to be said here in the comments, so let me be the first one to say: “Thanks Mr.Aleksander Hristov!”

I think I would really love to add this to my site, but will wait till the backend is released and a little while after that as there are sure to be a couple of bugs.

If I may make a suggestion, if you are using php you might want to consider using adodb to connect to the database(s) so it works with nearly all DBs without any/much change in code, plus that code has been tested to hell and back so there should be very few surprises.

This should really see an explosion of these sites on the net, now only if there was an explosion of actual trackers… the anti piracy scum would have to hang up their hats (or better still hang themselves)

Anyway, good news!
