Some issues with this post:

According to CIBA Platinum is 10K sales, not 100K. This rule applies to Canada, and each country has their own record sales certification.

For example, in the U.S., a platinum record accounts for 1 million record sales.

You’d think you’d look that up before posting this.

Honestly I could care less about the article but I just found that misinformation appalling.

Actually, I’ve listened to the band, and their music is really pretty good. Unfortunately, when I posted a supportive comment to their facebook page, it was removed along with many others (many also supportive!) and then the page was locked down to prevent fans from posting ANYTHING. I don’t approve of that kind of censorship, so I removed the band from my “Likes” and informed all my friends to disregard my earlier pleas to help support them. This guy is horrible at PR, and I’m confused as to why he even works in this area when he has absolutely no idea how to spin this sudden notoriety to the band’s advantage. Too bad for the band. They had a great sound and might have gone far, if this incident had been used to its proper advantage. As it is, I’ll never support them, including by any download of any sort, legal or otherwise. And they will become another warning of how not to behave on the internet, like Ms. Jaqueline Hewett.
