I’m in the US and have not been able to access Demonoid (using Cogent). Anyone have that problem?

hey I have a bit of a related question.. it seems that all of a sudden most of the torrents I was downloading just stopped reporting an error with the tracker, mostly from Demonoid trackers or pirate bay.. I am not from Russian though and I wonder if it’s related..
any help?

Demonoid was blocked to Ukraine from the very start, since they settled in here.

Yeah, it works now, but it was no access during 4 days I think. Wonder, I tried to open this site throw web-based proxy servers vtunnel.com and mathtunnel.com but could not rich demonoid too, so I decided that something wrong with demonoid, not Russia.

But now I see that demonoid works here, but vtunnel and mathtunnel still does not open it. Who knows why?

Demonoid was hosted in Canada that is why.. CRIA got pissed off and started firing flares at the hull.. So a temporary block for Canadian users was in order.. Just proxied it and all was well.. Still pissed me off CRIA got their way though..

torrents.ru can be quite severely moderated when it comes to games (both older and newer). They have agreement with copyright holders which regularly remove anything being sold in Russia by them (including English versions). Otherwise, it is indeed quite an impressive resourse.

What’s weird is I’m in Alaska (USA), and Demonoid is now blocked for me too as of today. Damn! Probably because we are so close to Russia, we got lumped in with the naughty kids.
