Demonoid Tracker Moves to Ukraine
Written by Ernesto on March 16, 2008Demonoid, once one of the most popular BitTorrent trackers, has reappeared again, this time hosted in Ukraine. The website is still down but the trackers are now fully operational again, perhaps a sign that Demonoid is crawling back up to speed?
In June 2007 Demonoid was pressured to leave their host in the Netherlands, mainly because of legal threats from the Dutch anti-piracy outfit, BREIN. The site then relocated to Canada, but after threats from the CRIA, it decided to shut down there as well.
A month ago we reported on the brief resurrection of the Demonoid tracker in Malaysia. At the time we hinted at the possibility that the site could perhaps be planning a comeback. Unfortunately the tracker went offline again after a few days. With no official response from the Demonoid team, it remains a mystery what the reason behind the resurrection was.
Now, a month later, the Demonoid tracker is again responding. Just over a week ago, Demonoid torrents began to work again, this time being tracked from Ukraine.
The new host of inferno.demonoid.com is the Ukrainian ISP Cocall Ltd, while the frontend of the site still remains in the US. Again, there is no official explanation for the return of the tracker, although many hope that it’s a sign that the site will be fully up and running soon.
Last December, Demonoid’s founder Deimos spoke about the future of the site: “Money is an issue, but the real problem at the moment is finding a suitable place to host the website. There has been no luck there.” Perhaps he now found his safe harbor in Ukraine?

obviously, stopping Hitler from taking over the world (not alone, but US was crucial) is an easy target, but disregarding that;
Hiroshama: cost a hundred thousand lives, saved millions; surrender was offered several times to Japan.
Iraq: the guy used chemical weapons on his own people, invaded the country next door, built himself a few royal palaces and let the law system cut off the hand of anyone caught stealing. I’m sure that would go over really well in, say, England? Maybe France?
Afghanistan: Took a government so brutal it made North Korea and China look like beaming children, and reduced it into a terrorist group in hiding. Very little destruction of infrastructure, since there was so little to start with; currently a massive annual investment in infrastructure, technically bettering the entire country.
Vietnam: a country France fucked over until they were literally dragged out of the country and thrown across the border, in the process of being invaded by undeniably the single most oppressive and murderous world power (x hundred million starved to death/tortured/slave-labor/executed) ever to rise on Earth, beating out even Germany AND Japan in terms of victims and oppression. And AMERICA spent over a decade trying to keep out the invaders, and let the people get on with life.

No offense, but you shouldn’t believe everything politicans tell you. I have nothing against U.S.Americans, but I unfortunately have to see often that they’re polically very naive and believe everything media and their goverment (which is the evil part of USA imo) tells them.
The main purpose for Hiroshima and Nagasaki wasn’t to force a surrender. Japan was already finished, there was nothing left that could have caused million of deaths. The real purpose was to test the bombs in a ‘real’ environment (aka test them on ppl).
Read Oppenheimer, might give you an idea of the truth.
And Iraq received the weapons they could surpess their ppl with, mainly from the USA (also from Germany, but only secondary).
