I think manga publishing works a bit differently – rights revert to the mangaka when they fall out of print. Not 100% sure of that though.

I am not inside that “scene” so you may be right. So lets assume the intensions are great and if i leave out all the legal and minor issues we’re left with the following (rephrased a bit):

- Why would anyone download a larger file of which the extra size increase is completely due to commercials whereby the original is a still “verified” on bittorrent (you might say for support).

- Recompressing audio usually isn’t that much of a problem but recompressing video is devastating for the quality or the file size needs to increase tremendously and then still loses some quality.

- Why doesn’t he just get the content from the owners themselves and code it into a high quality torrent (even with commercials) ?

if its links to webpages that are overtaken by hackers or illegal pages, I can see problems. Not that anything should be illegal as censorship sucks but they want everything censored by saying stuff is illegal. I remember the fbi of pedophiles were posting links a few years back and anyone who clicked on them they raided. You can find articles about it on google.

so i can download all the lolicon and shotacon and toddler con and then the ad companies will turn me in because they wil say that the material is illigal even though its not. Nice try I will get my material somewhere else because i don’t trust this to obtain stuff if it has a tracker in it.
