This case plus the NSA spying guarantees the DEATH of cloud computing. Well done Obama. Well done FBI. Why do you both suck up to Hollywood and NOT follow the LAW ? Kim has broken NO laws anymore than youtube or vimeo have so what are you up to ? Moonlighting as an international Hollywood paid for private police force perhaps ?

Actually, it’s also a way to *try to* exhaust Dotcom’s funds. Any average Joe would succumb under the costs of such process given the circumstances Kim was imposed.

Thats right. Its an excersize in PR. They want to wait for people to forget what happened and stop caring. They want the media to not cover the outcome… as its a no win situation for them. If they win the case, people want to fight more. If they loose, people want justice against an unfair shutdown. Just delay it for 3 years and keep talking about the success behind closed doors while pushing other governments to tighten their laws and they win.

The US government will loose badly in this court case. No doubt! Aside from the fact that they have become worse than china when it comes to censorship and repression of information online, the US GOV attack anyone who doesn’t believe what they believe. Copyright Infringement should be eradicated and rather a similar user agreement like CC should replace it. The whole business model needs to change! Money for the industries need to come from somewhere else. Look Kim Dotcom even offered to help the US government or at least those interested , with working things out like new business models etc.
He shouldn’t be blamed for copyright infringement of his users. That’s just greed and US based hate. You don’t have to be a political figure to see that there is something seriously wrong here.
Leave Kim Dotcom Alone, Adapt to change, just like the cassette, radio, VHS, DVD recorder etc.
Humans on planet earth don’t all have to follow US law.
I believe in copyright, where it encourages innovation ONLY!
not where it censors the web and destroys peoples lives.

Look how rich the industry would be if they created a model that allowed people to get what they want. It would clearly be the biggest in the world.

the record companys dont like there artist going somewhere

else to publish there music and get the 100% music royalties

so these scum bags put pressure on the goverment
