Megaupload was said to pay people to upload files well Rapidshare also did the same with paying but they weren’t shutdown and continue to remain operational where people still pay them to use their service to commit piracy which Rapidshare profits from.

There were far more files stored on Megaupload which was stored there as a back up that was never shared or distributed to anyone compared to the number of files that were on there that were both legal or illegal that were shared so to say that Megaupload was just used for piracy when in fact that most of the files stored on there (which numbered more than the files that were actually shared) doesn’t make it that it was just used for piracy when the majority of files were never shared.

So as long as these companies continue to make millions from facilitating piracy they will never be shutdown just as long as someone says that the company has other uses.
