Those aware of FXG accounts know that he has not uploaded this one yet…There are some aXXo torrents too ( and most knows that he is in sabbatical now ! )..

I am surprised that TorrentFreak is already promoting this site which is flooded with fake torrents inspite of owners claiming the strict filter used..

The only good recommendation I remember coming from TorrentFreak was for VERTOR when it went public…the site’s still good and torrents are truly verfied..

…BitSnoop has left much to be desired though !!!

Very unique torrent site, the way the searches are not in a table and set out more like google is very nice. There are so many good features that I can not explain in one post.

To all the people saying its full of fakes.. Its a “BETA”

And all you noobs out there who have no idea what a “BETA” is:

Personally I would NOT recommend anyone to use this until a comment and reporting system is implemented. Without this, this site would not be trustworthy. Not any amount of code can replace a humans intelligence.. For now that is.

To all the people who are saying the site sucks in terms of design .. Are you stupid? This is the most unique torrent site i have seen, im sure in time you will like it.

Great work pavel and team ;) Keep it up, this will definitely kick off once the comment and ranking system is implemented.

Every torrent I downloaded was a scam add. All the files were compressed and needed a password to uncompress. I didn’t find anything useful at all. I cam back to torrent freak to make sure the article wasn’t some sort of scam.

So I bit the bullet and decided to use the site to find some torrents. So far I’ve downloaded Fargo and Shaun of the Dead (completely random I know). Both were legitimate and I’m downloading Catch Me If You Can as I type this. I wouldn’t touch the axxo files though, you can even see in the file list, it shows that the movie is in a rar, which makes me not trust it 100%.

I know it’s irrelevant but the name is terrible. Besides they have a long way to go. Without user comments and rating system I don’t find the site to be all that reliable and I won’t be downloading from it.

Methinks the design is terrible too. Simple is good, but it looks fugly.

BitSnoop is buggy. It shows vastly incorrect total sizes (e.g. ~600MB for a known 32GB torrent, or even 18MB for a 28GB one).

Also incorrectly displays sizes for individual files within these torrents.

So, unfortunately it’s not really useful right now. Let’s see if they’ll fix it.

Very cool site, very light interface.

Some fake torrents yeah, but thats manageable (altho there shud be some indicating thingie atleast about fake/verified torrents)

BitSnoop ain’t that great, yet. It indexes alot of fake torrents. The most popular torrent right now is called “Capitalism – A Love Story (2009) DVDRip XviD – DivxMonkey” and that one is fake.

I hope some time in the near future BitSnoop adds more features so people can add comments and/or flag torrents if they’re fake or contains virus so other people doesn’t download the files and gets disappointet.

The “rights to reproduce” thing is a countermeasure against legal blah-blah most law firms will send (i.e., “We want you to shut down your site but you cannot tell anyone that we do!”). :-)

I searched for Michael Moore’s “Capitalism: A Love Story.” I downloaded it from three different links that Bitsnoop supplied, and every single copy downloaded was a fake file. And from looking at how many others were downloading the movie, it looks like many others were wasting time downloading it too.

Sounds like a good idea, but it’s not yet ready to service users, because it offers all the fake and crap torrents the robot has found. Maybe you should have waited to have a fully operational site instead of publishing the beta to the public…
