Keywifi users (see keywifi.com) actually get insurance against any legal claims, so the best thing to do s sign up to keywifi, share and redistribute your excess wifi capacity and we will deal with the trolls for you.

weather or not your responsible isn’t the question. What are you going to do if someone else thinks your responsIble thats the question. KeyWifi is all about allowing people to resell bandwidth much in the same way that AIRBNB allows folks to resell spare bedrooms for travelers. With KeyWifi what we have created is a secure platform that allows anyone anywhere the opportunity to resell their bandwidth.

It’s a small planet so lets share it and if we have an extra resource why not rent it out. To deal with this issue keywifi is also offering an Insurance plan that pays out in the event that a 3rd party (who we can identify through the KeyWifi system) does something naughty using your wifi. In that case KeyWifi will cover all the insurance and legal costs to defend you of any wrong doing.

So the bottom line is it doesn’t matter if someone does or doesn’t find you liable if you didn’t do anything and it can be prooved others did , end of story

It’s interesting that they gave this side of the argument. However, it’s not an unbiased answer. The EFF isn’t unbiased, just as Fox news isn’t “fair and balanced.” But it’s still a good argument for this side, but we cannot act as if it’s an unbiased report. But then again, we can’t pretend the government and judicial system is always right, because they’re not either. Just a quick comment to explain my opinion.

Excellent reply from the EFF – and the best answer to Randazza’s fraudulent claims by a country mile. I’m surprised to find it hidden down here in Freakbits, though – as far as I’m concerned, it deserves at least as much attention as either of the first two posts.
