TVGorge turned greedy as well with the "take a survey, get 48 hours free" model that all the unsuccessful streaming sites had. He claimed it was for bandwidth costs when it was hosted through ZShare/Megavideo half the time anyway, so I hope they never come back for that bullocks.

Why do these site operators think people will watch, click, or signup for ads when thats the whole point of the less-than-legal streaming model? And to those of you saying these were "just links" you could download the episodes that were streamed on ZShare, so no, Google shouldn't be shut down either. That's just absurd.

TVgorge could still be alive but they are not willing to face any legal woes. It's not illegal to link to third-party websites to whom you are not affiliated to. Take google for example, if you search a movie name dozens of sites with copyrighted content come up... why isn't google getting sued? But anyway, I use a host of sites... tvbreak.net is a decent new one. Enjoy watching your episodes where ever you watch em.

In the UK we only get US TV series on terrestrial TV for anything up to a year after they were originally screened. Not everyone can get/wants Sky or Virgin. Now the BBC is threatening to axe foreign shows to save money.

If The TV Powers wish to stop internet piracy just make release dates for TV programmes simultaneous worldwide.

The same goes for Movies, there should be internationally simultaneous release dates , plus this would allow for earlier DVD releases.

I prefer to watch a whole seasons TV series in a few viewings rather than 1 episode a week.

Dispare Ye not though, I remember UK life before TV, then just the choice of 2 channels, the future will bring real TV on demand & even the BBC with it's UK only iPlayer will have to open it to a worldwide audience. I have to pay the annual BBC UK License Fee but I'm happy for the world to benefit. It's called reciprocation, via the internet I can enjoy npr.org for free so why not let others enjoy more of the BBC than just the World Service.

Hold on... the MPAA went after a site that had LINKS? Not content, not downloadable torrent files, but actual LINKS?
Doesn't this mean that Google should be taken down too?
