EZTV Now Accessible Under New Domain Names
Written by enigmax on October 28, 2007In the wake of the OiNK takedown, many thousands of people started to panic today when they tried to access EZTV and instead got directed to Google. But there is no need to worry, EZTV is alive and well and now available via two new domains.
It’s understandable why the BitTorrent community feels a bit jittery this week after the shock demise of the OiNK tracker, particularly when another top site seemingly disappeared today.
Back in March we described EZTV as ‘the leading TV-torrent distribution group’ so when people tried to access www.eztvefnet.org today and got simply directed back to Google, panic started to creep in.
Luckily, this error is the result of some administrative issues and EZTV is alive, well and offering this message to their users:
Due to some misunderstandings during the transfers of domains relating to EZTV, the domain www.eztvefnet.org has been temporarily lost and now appears to redirect to a google query for EZTV. While we are working on resolving this issue, please be advised that there are alternative domains leading to our site - www.eztv.it and www.eztv.nl
NovaKing, admin at EZTV told TorrentFreak: “We are currently having some dns issues with eztvefnet.org so would like to inform our loyal fans that we prefer for people to start using the shorter easier to remember domain names!”

Heh, 150 or 400 isn’t exactly high-speed. That being said though, I’ve hit my practical max throughput (3.2MBps) several times downloading from there. It all depends on how fast you get on and who’re actually seeding. Generally, if I get on within minutes of the link being posted I get great speeds - wait too long and the original seed is gone leaving a lot of hit’n'runners.
Davy please never talk again, You don’t no squat from the little experience you say you have. TL and SM are no where near top tier Private Trackers come back when you have been on FTN ScT.

Davy is a complete moron. He has no idea what he’s talking about and can’t even figure out how to post here. Seriously you have no idea what you are talking about, not all sites are the same and some sites help you to get your ratio better. I own one of the big private sites and people don’t have much trouble keeping 1:1 there.

haha, I was getting worried myself about what happened to EZTV. I thought they got hacked or something lol.
anyways, I’m glad it’s still alive. EZTV is great, I download all my favorite shows from there.
thank god, it scared the shit out of me for a second.
even though I dont use eztv for my actual downloading, I use it for the nice overview of stuff that aired on that day. :)

Private torrent sites aren’t the top either. Private FTP’s are. Only an idiot would say public bittorrent is better then private http://FTP.

By “not safe” original Anonymous probably meant that it’s not safe because EZTV uses bittorrent, which is a p2p. Anyone can connect to the public server and get a list of ip’s of who’s downloading particular show and then sue them. The fact(or fiction) that no one does it doesn’t mean that EZTV is 100% safe…
Personally I use EZTV only for informational purposes. I look which shows come out then go to newzbin and download them from newsgroups. Also you mentioned that you have to pay for the privilege of using newsgroups. All true. Ever heard of expression “you get what you pay for”?
Private FTPs are truly the fastest way to get episodes. I know of some private IRC channels with bots that serve episodes sometimes 30m-1h faster then they show up on bt/usenet. I don’t use irc though, it’s too slow for me >_>
Christ davy EZTV takes a good 30mins to a Hr to get episodes uploaded I’ve already watched the Ep by the time they put it out. If he have been on any decent tracker you would know this.
