Sounds like your mistake was to go with one of the big ISPs.
They generally cater for the ignorant masses. There are loads of indepenent ISPs that’d be very happy for your business. I won’t mention which ISP I’m with, but I don’t suffer from a single one of the problems you mentioned above.

The problem is not if you fear that or not, the problem is, how they will use any information they may get with that system.

I know some people want to talk about using their guns against their own tyrant government, but hey, now they use unmanned drones to kill several civilians and few enemies in the process. And well, till some people are expecting to fight, they’re making more and more plans.

As a BT Customer on adsl broadband this is how i feel the company could do to help.
*make all adsl broadband packages unlimited (end 10gb or 40 gb option)
*have reasonable line rental etc. that i dont have to pay six moths in advance.
*its 2013 limiting your upload for all adsl customers at under 500kbps wont do. give us the actual line speed.
*i dont mind the throttling times or the throttling level. but dont throttle all upload after i download the torrent fine.
What makes me angry
*Subsidising free sport and making me pay for it out of capped plans and line rental etc. then throttling my service from you (upload, torrents) to broadcast it.
*Being an active partner in PRISM. Its wrong, the government forced your hand but it was still wrong.
*Shifting from a fairly neutral, sensible copyright policy to siding with FACT. There is no way to be subtle about this excuse my language (BIG FUCKING MISTAKE) I could put up with the anti copyright jibes of the farts in the bt forums, I could put up with the throttling times. But for this BT I may drop you, and its your loss. where is my bt who?

*held off blocking the piratebay and kat.
*had decent torrent speeds unlike virgin media.
*had decent port forwarding.

I am a torrenter and I am a BT Customer. don’t want my custom that’s fine you find another mug to pay overuse of data. you find another mug to put up with your upload speeds. you find another mug and Its not just me mate there are lots of us we can find different isps and we will take our business elsewhere. Complain of congested networks because of torrents, dont worry we’ll be elsewhere on other isp networks where we are wanted.

so change your tune if you dont want to be twiddiling your thumbs
