After these news came out, Julie resigned from the Pirate Party. As much as I don’t like freetards, I can see why the PP would drive her out. They claim to defend culture by ending copyright opening up all media and content to free distribution.

Therefore, if she wanted to respect those principles, she should’ve just written the book and published the whole thing in her open blog, and print copies and hand them out to people on the street.

Of course, reality kicked in – you need money to pay bills, the website hosting, printing, and, well, eating.
Life is tough.

It would be nice to find out how many Pirate-Party supporters around the world are discreetly making money through the present copyright system. I’m sure we would be in for a big surprise.

Writing a book isn’t exactly free. It takes time and effort. Irregardless of whether you want to pay for the book, recognize that it did take some work on the part of the author.

attention can be gotten in more ways than just controversy, being part of the community your book is for you can advertise there, at least two books i bought because of this site, just make your presence known, make a good book and people will talk about it, you can’t even STOP them from talking about it.

Well, it’s obvious (and it works).
The German title is “Klick mich”, which is pretty close to the well-known cliché phrase “Fick mich” (= fuck me)… and it ends with “exhibitionist”.

A very strong rejection of the previous theory among pirates regarding
that the copyright owners would benefit from piracy. Instead seeding and
downloading is in fact regarded as a punishment.
