This is because internet in Australia is so fucking expensive and slow as shit. You are better off buying what ever you want legally at double the rate of Americans for the same product than paying for a half decent internet connection, IF you can even get one that is…

So it goes to say, the better the job, the more money you have, the more you can spend on internet, the more you can download.

I’m pretty sure this is because there are so many interesting things you you can find torrenting and no where else. Like anyone is actually going to download Justin Beeber or whatever is in right now. I just downloaded a huge HD collection of classical art, where else could I find something like that?

Could it simply be the case that poorer people are less likely to admit to being pirates? It’s easier to be intimidated by fines and the like when you have less to live off of, after all.
