I used to love that show on KTLA too! My brother and I watched it every Sunday. Wasn’t it called the Family Film Festival or something like that? They would show old Popeye cartoons and others (George of the Jungle, etc.), then show the movies. I remember watching all of the Hope/Crosby Road pictures, Thunderbirds and other stop animation movies, Pippi, etc. I still miss the show and wish someone would do a similar show nationally. Oh well.

Micheal, it may be true that all works after ’64 are automatically renewed (that’s only one possible interpretation of Pub. L. 102-307), but who’s going to sue you? Companies that no longer exist have a hard time making a case.

Why did you link Dropo to that wikipedia article for Walt Dropo? IMDB clearly lists this character acted by Bill McCutcheon. Dropo just appears to be a very lazily-created “martian” name.

It was actually Tom Hatten, and the name of the program was “The Family Film Festival”.
