For the RIAA the staggering amount of takedown requests only confirms
the notion that the process isn’t very effective. Brad Buckles, RIAA
executive vice president of anti-piracy, previously suggested that
Google should start banning entire domains from its search results. “Every day produces more results and there is no end in sight. We are
using a bucket to deal with an ocean of illegal downloading,” Buckles
said. “Isn’t it simply logical and fair at some point to conclude that such
links are infringing without requiring content owners to keep expending
time and resources to have the link taken down?”

just look at the allusion logic being used here. it's obvious the censorship system works and is effective in that the amount of processed censorship demands and their satiation are ever increasing....for google. what isn't effective, is the process of censorship of...the internet. pounding one operator of an algorithm isn't going to ever singularly transform the entirety of the tubes into one giant licensed venue of official shopping.

basically this conclusion is met with a sly call to mass censorship of the remaining meta-indexing to segue into simple dns/domain redirects on preemptive profiling (by whatever zany metric the mpaa/riaa cares to never divulge) to stifle all warez. hail hydra.

the ridiculous thing is, there isn't one law maker, one politician or government asking the most sensible and urgent of questions. that is, if there has been 100 million take down requests, it must surely mean that there were at least 100 million websites that were offering customers what they wanted and, obviously, not a single entertainment industries website was doing that! the obvious course of action, to any sensible government would be to insist that those industries very quickly helped themselves by giving customers what they wanted instead of them relying on 'alternative' sites to fill the hole! instead, the industries are purposefully NOT doing what they should, what the customers want because they want to carry on using it as an excuse to bait people and be able to sue them. i still reckon that this could easily be classed as entrapment!
the time to go down the road of suing people is after all else has failed, and i mean seriously tried, not just put up a single website with delayed releases, full of DRM, of piss poor quality and extortionate prices. they have to be at least as good as the 'alternatives'. after all if these so-called illegal sites can put out top quality media, with the limited resources, the industries themselves should be able to put out content that was of outstanding quality. it's their game, after all!!
