I suspect the end play will happen the moment NZ revokes Kim’s resident status, and he is forced to move to another country. He will find himself facing the same charges again. Sooner or later, someone will send him to the US.

This case won’t go away. Beating the extradition will just mean he will be a fugitive, and will be force to remain in places that don’t extradite to the US. That makes for a pretty sad life for someone with the money and time to travel.
