Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows leaked to BitTorrent
Written by Smaran on July 17, 2007The final book in the Harry Potter series has been leaked to BitTorrent. A torrent with photographs of each page of the American edition of “Deathly Hallows” has shown up on multiple torrent sites.
We first got wind of this when two torrents of the book appeared on Demonoid.com. They became immensely popular with over a 1000 leechers and seeders each. But after some time were removed by either the uploader, or more likely, the moderators, in a move to avoid the attention of bloodthirsty publishers.
Not surprisingly, both those torrents spread over to mininova and several other sites and are still going strong (update: mininova removed the torrents). One of the torrents only has the first 495 pages of the book, whereas the second is the complete book.
Over the past couple of weeks, numerous torrents have surfaced online claiming to be the 7th and last Harry Potter book. They are all fakes. Fan fiction. This one, on the other hand, is the real thing. Someone has managed to get their hands on the American edition of the book and has photographed each page of the book and uploaded it to BitTorrent.
The main complaint that’s coming up in comment threads on these sites is that the quality isn’t great. You can just barely manage to read each page. And as some downloaders promptly noted, a few pages cannot be read at all without editing the images in Photoshop.
Die-hard fans of the series will undoubtedly rush to grab a copy of the torrent for themselves. But anybody else would really have to see whether reading the book a week before the rest of the world is worth risking their eyesight and brains, squinting to make out what happens when Harry confronts He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for the last time.

The torrent with the scanned images of each page appears to be genuine. Yes the quality is poor, but at least you can read the book and not have to wait in line just to get an early copy of this brilliant book. And on some of the pages which are almost unreadable, just zoom in and that should fix that issue.
Suffice to say, before acquiring a download of the book, MANY rumours were abound, and yet all appear false so far.
Also wish to state that I will still be purchasing the 7th book, but am just happy that I can read it now without having moronic imbeciles ruin the ending for me after the book is released.
yeah, the quality is not good, but there is already a written down version of the first 10 chapters of the book.. and they decrypted even the page 30/31 which was unreadable from the photo.. its in 300KB PDF on TPB
I read the last two chapters from the scans. Its too much work to read the whole book from the photos. There are still torrents out there do more searching from every possible torrent search site.
I think the 784 pages mentioned by Rowling was mad to fool people in case this did leaked. The book is only 759 pages and its definitely real as someone would have to go through the trouble of making their own book and then taking photos of it. Very clever indeed. I can’t wait to read the whole book on saturday.

Back to the topic. I have zero pity, sorrow, or whatever to those how felt angry, sad, upset, and whatever.
I may be an ass here, but I never enjoyed the books, only the films. I am actually glad that someone put the spoilers out so I don’t have to keep wondering.

One burning question, as I don’t want to read it now and rather wait for my book copy but don’t mind the spoilers: is the statement about the horcruxes right? After all, Harry is not a Horcrux?

And one more thing, if the HP fans complain, then don’t bother reading the leaks in the first place. It is called common sense. Do not spoil, do not read the leaks.

look at some torrents.. ppl have written the book in pdf format. easy on the eyes…

So, after several hours, I found a bunch of fake copies, and then i found a link.
it has the first 495 pages…pictures that are too bright and need editing.
