Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows leaked to BitTorrent
Written by Smaran on July 17, 2007The final book in the Harry Potter series has been leaked to BitTorrent. A torrent with photographs of each page of the American edition of “Deathly Hallows” has shown up on multiple torrent sites.
We first got wind of this when two torrents of the book appeared on Demonoid.com. They became immensely popular with over a 1000 leechers and seeders each. But after some time were removed by either the uploader, or more likely, the moderators, in a move to avoid the attention of bloodthirsty publishers.
Not surprisingly, both those torrents spread over to mininova and several other sites and are still going strong (update: mininova removed the torrents). One of the torrents only has the first 495 pages of the book, whereas the second is the complete book.
Over the past couple of weeks, numerous torrents have surfaced online claiming to be the 7th and last Harry Potter book. They are all fakes. Fan fiction. This one, on the other hand, is the real thing. Someone has managed to get their hands on the American edition of the book and has photographed each page of the book and uploaded it to BitTorrent.
The main complaint that’s coming up in comment threads on these sites is that the quality isn’t great. You can just barely manage to read each page. And as some downloaders promptly noted, a few pages cannot be read at all without editing the images in Photoshop.
Die-hard fans of the series will undoubtedly rush to grab a copy of the torrent for themselves. But anybody else would really have to see whether reading the book a week before the rest of the world is worth risking their eyesight and brains, squinting to make out what happens when Harry confronts He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for the last time.

Yes Veldemort will die because like it said in the 6th book Either harry or Voldemort has to die and when Harry dies Voldemort has life forever. So yes Voldemort will die… Yes ron will probally live because him and Hermione will get maried and have atleast 2 kids!

I just read EVERY single post made. Ha. Pro. I like the person that dot-pointed the main parts of the leak. GOOD WORK.
I’m not some hard out obsessed fan, but I have been reading it since the first book, so it’s natural order that I should continue. I don’t see what the fuss is about a leak, honestly. If you’re a true fan, you’ll buy the book anyway. Furthermore (as many people have said), if it ANNOYS you, then you don’t HAVE to read the spoilers. Simple. There are spoilers for everything. That’s life, innit.
However… if you’re a friend on my MySpace… UNLUCKY, cos I am going to bulletin-spam that shit, non-stop. I might even comment the people whom I know it’ll upset the most. :)

I’ve searched for Informations about this “incident”. I’ve found three different endings of HP7. Really nice. A nice way of courting. No everyone wants to know which one is correct one. Really fine. Maybe its a fake; maybe not….? Who knows. So if we wanna find out, we seem to be forced to buy the book anyway ;)

Almost wish the images version isn’t real, because it was an excellent read. Would mean another good book to read.
At any rate, I think the book ended in the best way possible though. Can’t wait for everyone to read it though so we have something to discuss
Think Harry’s son is called Albus Severus actually. He tells him he was named after ‘two Hogwarts headmasters’…which means Snape must get to be headmaster at some point.
I don’t know, there have been so many theories flying around, half of them say Hermione’s going to die, the other half say Ron does. Then there’s also the section that says, ‘They all die and meet in heaven’.
Total bull.
I personally think I found the right page, Ron dies. I’m pretty sure. But then I’m not one for beliveing stuff like that.

This is all bull crap why would J.K. just let this happen there are so many diffrent people who say harry dies and then they say hermione dies you have to know if you have the book right but these people are guessing.
Someone probally wrote thier own book and did this just to become famous. If you think about it he would have been arrested if this was the real copy!

all this stupid don’t-release-before-this-date business. the publishers and the author are doing it to themselves.
hold something back, make people anticipate, make them reserve, build up the marketing… and of course you’ll have the spoliers and the pirates. release it when it will and you won’t have the 1,200 trying to make money a few days before the official release.

These spoilers make no sense. Also, JK Rlowing said there only 2 people are going to be dieing in the book. Not, how much you spoiler mentioned here. Also, how do you know if people did not rewrite it?

That spoilers page was totally worthless, the guy made up 80% of it, and the stuff he got right I’m pretty sure was by chance. I read the torrent over the past 24 hours, and I can assure you that the guy you linked to is full of BS
